I am a PhD fellow at the Center for Discoveries in Migraine and the Translational Research center, (Rigshospitalet) supervised by Professor Kristian Agmund Haanes and Professor Messoud Ashina. My research focuses on elucidating the mechanisms underlying activation of the trigeminovascular system in migraine.
Using both ex vivo and in vivo preclinical models, I investigate how migraine-relevant neuropeptides activate trigeminal nociceptive pathways. In addition, I explore the biochemical properties of these neuropeptides and their spatial distribution within the trigeminal ganglion to better understand migraine pathophysiology.
I hold an MSc in Biochemistry with a specialization in neuroscience from the University of Copenhagen, where I developed a strong foundation in molecular and cellular neurobiology.
