Hakan Ashina is a physician-scientist at Copenhagen University Hospital–Rigshospitalet and Associate Professor at the Technical University of Denmark. His research bridges clinical and experimental neuroscience to understand the mechanisms, burden, and treatment of migraine and post-traumatic headache. He has published more than 110 peer-reviewed papers and received several academic honors, including Copenhagen University Hospital–Rigshospitalet’s Research Talent Prize, Berlingske Talent 100, the Lundbeck Foundation Talent Prize, and the International Headache Society’s Early-Career Headache Science Award.
